Overview

  • Omada Health has expanded its virtual care platform to include dedicated cholesterol management.

The News

Omada Health has launched Omada for Cholesterol, expanding its integrated cardiometabolic care platform to address high cholesterol alongside weight, glucose, blood pressure, and GLP-1 management. The program combines human-led coaching, AI-enabled support, nutrition and activity guidance, behavior change, and medication adherence to help members achieve healthier cholesterol levels and reduce long-term cardiovascular risk.

Designed to complement primary and specialty care, the new offering shifts cholesterol management beyond periodic clinical visits by providing continuous, between-visit support. Omada also announced the program’s launch with a market-leading employer, reflecting growing demand for integrated cardiometabolic solutions that address multiple chronic conditions through a single virtual care platform.

Industry Perspective

As cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of morbidity, healthcare providers and employers are increasingly adopting integrated cardiometabolic care models that combine digital health, behavioral coaching, and medication support. Continuous virtual care is emerging as a key strategy to improve long-term management of chronic conditions and reduce cardiovascular risk.

Strategic Impact

The addition of cholesterol management strengthens Omada’s integrated cardiometabolic platform, enabling the company to address multiple interconnected chronic conditions through a single solution. The expansion enhances Omada’s value proposition for employers and health plans seeking comprehensive, preventive care models that improve outcomes while lowering long-term healthcare costs.
