QALO Launches SL-1 Smart Band to Expand Subscription-Free Health Wearables

Overview

  • QALO launched the SL-1 Smart Band, expanding its wearable portfolio beyond the Smart Ring.
  • The device tracks sleep, activity, stress, HRV, heart rate, SpO2, skin temperature, and women’s health metrics without a subscription.
  • The Smart Band connects with the QALO app to maintain a continuous health profile alongside the Smart Ring.

The News

QALO has launched the SL-1 Smart Band, a wrist-worn health wearable designed for high-intensity activities and everyday use. The HSA/FSA-eligible, water-resistant device offers 12+ days of battery life and tracks sleep, movement, heart rate, stress, HRV, SpO2, skin temperature, and women’s health metrics.

The Smart Band features QALO’s Daily Q Score, which combines sleep, HRV, movement, and stress into a 1–100 daily score, along with live heart rate tracking and women’s health features including menstrual cycle tracking, period prediction, fertility awareness, and pregnancy-related insights.

Industry Perspective

Wearable users increasingly engage in different activities that may require different device formats. By offering both a ring and wristband connected to the same platform, QALO aims to provide flexibility for users while maintaining continuity of health, sleep, activity, and recovery data.

Strategic Impact

The launch expands QALO’s connected health ecosystem from a single wearable format to two devices while maintaining its subscription-free model. Priced at $199.95, the Smart Band is available through QALO’s website, with plans to expand into 50 Walmart locations in the US this fall.
