The News
Everlywell has partnered with Waters Corporation to offer the Onclarity HPV Self-Collection Kit, tested with the BD Onclarity HPV Assay, through its digital health platform. The kit allows eligible members to collect samples at home and send them to a CLIA-certified laboratory, with results delivered digitally through Everlywell.
Members with abnormal results can access clinician-guided follow-up through telehealth, along with in-person referrals for further evaluation. The BD Onclarity HPV Assay detects 14 high-risk HPV genotypes and individually identifies six genotypes while reporting three additional pooled groups.
Industry Perspective
Cervical cancer screening remains a significant preventive-care gap in the US, with one in four women reportedly not up to date on screening. By removing the need for an initial in-person screening visit, at-home HPV testing can provide an alternative for members who are overdue, difficult to reach, or reluctant to undergo traditional screening.
Strategic Impact
The partnership strengthens Everlywell’s role in digital preventive care while giving health plans a diagnostic-led approach to addressing cervical cancer screening gaps. Integrating at-home testing with digital results, telehealth, and follow-up referrals also creates a more connected pathway from screening to appropriate care.
