Iris Telehealth Launches Integrated Women’s Behavioral Health Solution to Support Care Across Key Life Stages

Overview

Iris Telehealth has launched an Integrated Women’s Behavioral Health solution designed to embed therapy and psychiatry into women’s healthcare journeys, including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, NICU care, and menopause.

The model uses proactive behavioral health support at key care milestones, extending support to patients, partners, caregivers, and families.

The launch follows an Iris survey highlighting significant unmet needs, with many women reporting stress-related mental health challenges but limited access to concrete behavioral health support.

The News

Iris Telehealth’s Integrated Women’s Behavioral Health solution integrates behavioral health into women’s health service lines, making support a routine part of care rather than a response to crisis. The model can include therapy, medication management, group therapy, same-day interventions, family and partner support, and care coordination, delivered by providers with specialized women’s behavioral health training.

The solution covers journeys including fertility treatment, high-risk pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, NICU stays, and menopause. Iris’ survey of 1,050 women found that 86% believed their healthcare provider recognized the impact of daily responsibilities on their mental health, but 30% had received no specific solution or treatment for stress. Additionally, 39% had delayed or avoided behavioral healthcare because of caregiving responsibilities, time constraints, or emotional burden.

Industry Perspective

Women often encounter behavioral health needs during major healthcare transitions, but support is frequently introduced only after symptoms escalate. Integrating behavioral health into existing care pathways can help health systems identify needs earlier and reduce access barriers.

Strategic Impact

The solution positions behavioral health as a core component of women’s healthcare by supporting patients and their broader care environments. By integrating specialized behavioral health services into existing care journeys, Iris aims to improve access, strengthen care coordination, and support better outcomes for women, partners, caregivers, and families.
