Signia Launches MaX AI Hearing Aid Platform in Canada

Overview

  • Signia introduced its Multi-adaptive Xperience (MaX) hearing aid platform in Canada, powered by Acoustic Intelligence.
  • The platform combines four task-specific Deep Neural Networks to analyze speech, noise, environment, and the wearer’s own voice simultaneously.
  • The first device, Pure C&G MaX, offers Bluetooth Classic, LE Audio, Telecoil, and Auracast connectivity.

The News

Signia has launched its MaX platform in Canada, designed to provide real-time, multi-dimensional sound processing for complex listening environments. Its Acoustic Intelligence system combines four Deep Neural Networks for speech detection, own-voice detection, scene analysis, and noise processing.

Signia reports that 97% of wearers performed better with MaX in noisy group conversations compared with key competitors, while the platform also ranked No. 1 in signal-to-noise ratio performance in group conversations in noise. The new MaX chip delivers 54x more processing power, 50% greater energy efficiency, and twice the memory compared with previous generations.

Industry Perspective

Hearing aids often face challenges in dynamic environments such as group conversations, where speech, background noise, and changing surroundings occur simultaneously. MaX takes a broader AI approach by coordinating multiple sound-processing functions rather than focusing primarily on noise reduction.

Strategic Impact

The launch strengthens Signia’s AI-powered hearing technology portfolio in Canada while introducing a platform designed for continuous, real-time sound analysis. Pure C&G MaX also expands connectivity options through OneConnect Technology, with full Auracast functionality planned through a firmware update by March 2027.
