Overview
WHOOP is expanding its proactive health offering by adding GRAIL’s Galleri multi-cancer early detection test to WHOOP Advanced Labs.
WHOOP Advanced Labs will also be available to non-members for the first time, providing clinician-reviewed blood testing and AI-powered health insights.
The expanded offering aims to help people identify potential health risks earlier and make more informed decisions.
The News
WHOOP has expanded access to its Advanced Labs service and added Galleri, GRAIL’s multi-cancer early detection test, to its portfolio. For the first time, WHOOP Advanced Labs will be available without a WHOOP membership, broadening access to comprehensive blood testing, clinician-reviewed results, AI-powered insights, and personalized recommendations.
Powered in the US by Quest Diagnostics, Advanced Labs offers cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal, and inflammatory health panels, with testing starting at approximately $150. Since its launch in 2025, WHOOP says eight in 10 users have reported discovering a meaningful health finding, while more than half received results that may warrant follow-up with a healthcare provider.
The addition of Galleri further expands the offering into cancer screening. Available through a single blood draw at nearly 2,000 Quest locations in the US, the test is designed to detect cancer signals associated with more than 50 cancer types. Results will be delivered through the WHOOP app alongside educational resources and guidance on appropriate clinician-directed next steps.
Industry Perspective
Consumer health is increasingly shifting toward proactive monitoring, with wearables, advanced diagnostics, and AI helping individuals gain deeper insights beyond traditional annual checkups. Combining longitudinal health data with laboratory testing could create a more comprehensive view of individual health and support earlier follow-up when potential risks are identified.
Strategic Impact
The expansion strengthens WHOOP’s position beyond fitness and performance monitoring into broader preventive health. Making Advanced Labs available without a membership and adding Galleri creates new access points for advanced diagnostics while combining laboratory results with WHOOP’s digital health ecosystem, potentially supporting more informed and proactive health management.
