


Grindr to acquire PurposeMed to expand PrEP access
Grindr has agreed to acquire PurposeMed, the parent company of Freddie, for $250 million in cash and stock, plus up to $70 million tied to performance targets. The acquisition will integrate Freddie’s telehealth, testing, prescription, pharmacy, and patient-support capabilities into Grindr Health, enabling users to access PrEP assessments, clinical care, prescriptions, refills, and medication delivery. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to customary conditions.

QALO has launched the SL-1 Smart Band, expanding its wearable portfolio beyond the Smart Ring with a subscription-free device that tracks sleep, activity, stress, HRV, heart rate, SpO2, skin temperature, and women’s health metrics. The HSA/FSA-eligible band offers 12+ days of battery life and connects with the QALO app to maintain a continuous health profile alongside the Smart Ring, with features including the Daily Q Score and menstrual cycle tracking. Priced at $199.95, the Smart Band is available through QALO’s website, with plans to expand into 50 Walmart locations in the US this fall.
